What is Social Entrepreneurship?

Social entrepreneurship consists of companies or entrepreneurs recognizing a social, cultural, or environmental problem and aiming to reach a solution. Rather than companies or entrepreneurs bringing a good or service to address a consumer problem, companies must offer a good or service to the market to address a public issue. Social entrepreneurship stems from companies or entrepreneurs acknowledging a problem within the economy and wanting to generate social change.
